HIP celebrates and benefits at its 3rd Annual Garden Wine Tasting & Pairing

On Sunday, June 5th Housing Initiatives of Princeton Charitable Trust (HIPCT) was honored to welcome over sixty (60) friends and supporters to its third annual garden wine tasting and pairing. Joy Saville’s beautiful garden in Princeton was the setting for this event to celebrate and benefit HIPCT’s transitional and affordable housing program.

Guests enjoyed wines and hors d’ oeuvres par excellence. A flight of six wines of Tuscany, including Brunello Di Montalcino DOCG was offered. The Brunello was paired with a savory Risotto and Osso Buco on artichoke leaves. Guests finished with a Korbel Sweet Rose paired with heavenly strawberry cream puffs and tiramisu squares.

We are exceedingly grateful to all who attended and supported this event. Extraordinary appreciation is being extended to co-hosts, Joy Saville, home & garden; Don Mann & Elliot Kaplan wines; and Emilia Tosic-DiSanto, hors d’ oeuvres. Also, to the Hip wait staff led by the Rev. Paul Jeanes III, Rector, Trinity Church, and included the Rev. Joanne Epply-Schmidt, Ira Lackey and Lucy DiSanto. James Scott documented the event with photographs, and Ira Lackey contributed his trademark fresh floral centerpieces.

We need and appreciate your continued support to help evade homelessness and respond to the unmet need of affordable housing in our community. In addition to time-limited housing at Prescott House, HIPCT assists its clients with individualized professional case management to help them toward self sufficiency and to locate permanent affordable housing. – Ruth Thurmond Scott, Board Chair, HIPCT.
