Bridging the gap between homelessness and hope one family at a time

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

2016 Rent Party - the Blind Tiger

Housing Initiatives of Princeton raised more than
$24,000
at its annual Rent Party,
a Blind Tiger speakeasy held at the historic Grover Cleveland home.

The funds will go to support HIP’s mission of helping low-income families evade eviction and homelessness by providing transitional housing coupled with wrap-around supportive services and emergency rental assistance.

2016 Rent Party - the Blind Tiger

HIP gives huge thanks to the many volunteers and supporters who contributed to the event’s success, including our generous hosts, Lydia and Johan Pfeiffer, co-chair Ira Lackey, the 30+ sponsors, and the nearly two dozen volunteers who contributed their time, talents and donated items for the auction.

Rent Party attendees dined on delicious hors d’oeuvres provided by Blawenburg Café and scrumptious desserts provided by Millie Guiteau of Tap Tap Caribbean/American Cuisines while tapping their toes to the swinging tunes of Applied Harmony.
