Bridging the gap between homelessness and hope one family at a time

HIP Year in Review

During 2009 we continued to deliver on our mission; at the same time we engaged in much discernment about opportunities to grow and assist additional families.

Accomplishments & Opportunities

HIP clients in 2009 included a single parent family with three children and three adult women working in Princeton. In 2010 some of these clients expect to transition to permanent housing with others returning to school for professional training. We are proud of the strides they’ve made while under the aegis of Housing Initiatives of Princeton.

2009 also saw the launch of the HIP website at www.housinginitiativesofprinceton.org. On the site, you can keep up with our projects and events, get information on how you can help assist our clients, and learn about the challenges of affordable housing in New Jersey. Donating via the site is easy, so this is a great way to tell your friends about us and let them know how they can support our work.

Finances

We ended 2009 with a cash balance of $131,064. dollars an increase of $26,496 over 2008 year-end balance of $104, 568. We received income in the amount of $77,743 and had expenses in the amount of $48,747.
